1- will invest $10 billion in India, says goggle chief :-
• Google will invest $10 billion ( rs 75,000 crore) in India over the next five to seven years with a focus on digitisting economy and building India first-product and services, its CEO Sundar pichai said.
• Invest will focus on four area key to to digitisation enable affordable access and information for every Indian in their own language, building products and services that are deeply relevant to India's unique needs, empowering businesses on their digital transformation journey. and leveraging technology and AI for social goods in area such as health,education and agriculture.
2- Iran drops India from chabahar rail project, cities funding delay.
• India Iran signed an agreement to construct a rail line from chabahar port to zahedan along the border with Afghanistan.
• Reason is dropped - the development comes as China finalises is a massive 25 years, $400 billion strategic partnership deal with Iran, which could cloud India plans.
3- aircraft carriers to get Indian jets by 2032:-
• navy is expected to receive new twin-engine aircraft carrier is based fighter aircraft being developed by the defence research and development organisation (DRDO) by 2032.which will replace the Russian mig-29k carries jets in service.
• Manufacturing will be done by HAL.
About HAL- Hindustan aeronautics limited (HAL) is an Indian state owned aerospace and defence company.
• Headquarter is Bangalore ,India.
• It is governed under the management of Indian ministry of defence.
• Founded in 1940 by walchand hirachand as Hindustan aircraft, renamed as HAL in 1964.
4- IIT Madras research inches closer to cancer cure:-
• turmeric compound curcumin has shown in enhanced ability to counter disease.
• Researchers from the Indian institute of technology Madras have shown that the active compound from the common household spice turmeric-curcumin-can enhance cancer cell death.
• Researchers have found that treating leukaemia cells that cause cancer of the blood and bone marrow with curcumin ,enhence a cell death..
TRAIL - TNF- related apoptosis- in-ducing ligand (TRAIL) is an agent with the ability to program cell death ( apoptosis) and has triggered many preclinical studies the word over.
• TRAIL in preclinical studies had been strong, in clinical trial, the result were so far unsatisfied as cancer cells. The next round of research has been to find chemicals that can reverse resistance and increase sensitivity of Cancer cells of trail.
• IIT Madras research team choose curcumin as it is known to inhibit carcinogenesis and induce apoptosis in various cancer cells.
