         1-NATGRID gets access to data from 14,000 police stations:-


             . the national intelligence grid has signed an MoU with national crime record bureau to access the centralised online database on FIRs and stolen vehicles.
First conceptualised in 2009 NATGRID Seeks to become the one-stop destination for security and intelligence agencies to access database related to any immigrations entry and exit, banking and telephone details of a suspect on a secured platform.
NATGRID access to the crime and criminal tracking network and system database a platform that links around 14,000 stations.



        2-DSR (direct seeding of rice)method
:-

   
                 Researchers have developed a suitable direct seeding alternatives to transplanted paddy.
. In direct seeded rice cultivation, raising of nursery for transplantation in done away with.
. Advantage of the technique:-
farmers can avoid the major problem faced in Punjab I.e labour shortage for transplanting due to peak demand.
In case of delay in monsoon aur shortage of water.
DSR give the farmer flexibility to take up direct sowing of paddy with a suitable duration variety to fit into the left over season.
. Early maturity.
Undisturbed soil structure.
Better fertilizer use efficiency.
Drawbacks:-
Seed requirement is high.
Early sowing required.


         3-the centre for global health research (CGHR) at the university of Toronto, Canada recently released a study titled:-Snake bite mortality in India-A nationally representative mortality survey:-
        
              Indian recorded 1.2 million snakebite deaths in the 20-years period from 2000 to 2019 with an average of 58,000 deaths caused by snake bite annually.
Highly rate state- Bihar, Jharkhand, MP, Odisha, up, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, and, Gujarat.
Snake bite deaths wear highest in the state of UP (8700), Andhra Pradesh (5200), Bihar (4500).
. THE WHO recognise Snake bite as a top -priority neglected tropical disease.



           4_cycles 4 change:-. 
           

                            . smart cities mission opened the registration for India cycles 4 change challenge on 10th July 2020.
. The challenge was launched on 25 June 2020 by minister of housing and urban affairs.
. The challenge aim to help cities connect with their citizens as well as experts to develop a unified vision to promote cycling.
. The challenge is open to all cities under the smart cities mission, capital cities of state, UT and all cities with a population of more then 5 lakh populations.
. In October 2020,11 cities will be shortlised and will receive rupees 1 crore award and guidance from national and international expert to further scale up the initiatives in stage two, which will be held until may 2021.



           5-China, Iran close to to reaching trade and military partnership:- 

  
                      . Iran and China have quietly drafted of sweeping economic and security partnership that would clear the way of billions of dollars of Chinese investment in energy and other sectors, undercutting the Donald trump administration efforts to isolate the Iranian government because of its nuclear and military ambition.
Chinese presence in banking, telecomm- unication,ports, railways and dozens of other projects.
In exchange ,China would receive for regular -and according to an Iranian officials and an oil trade, heavily discounted supply of Iranian oil over the next 25 years.
